I have donated a one-off silk scarf from the Sneak + Peek collections for the upcoming Tayside Healthcare Arts Trust (THAT) charity auction taking part in Dundee on 20th November.
The scarf donated is a one-off from the Sneak + Peek collection, inspired by pheasants hiding amongst the landscape where I live. There are thousands of pheasants camoflagued in the fields but it’s not till you come close that they reveal themselves with their distinctive call warning all the other pheasant friends to look out. To capture the textures of the fields I has used a mono printing technique, this also makes no two scarves the same. The scarf is reversible to allow you to change your look and get two scarves from one!
THAT help improve the health and wellbeing of people with a variety of Long Term Conditions. I have previously been involved with them by designing and delivering creative programmes for people recovering from strokes and living with COPD. This work is very rewarding.
There will be a range of designer scarves from Donna Wilson, James Donald, Fiona McIntosh, Syrah Jay, Jane Keith and more plus A5 postcards from a range of artists and framed artworks. For more info on the auction please check out their website.
